Recognizing Sickle Cell Awareness Month
Summary
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Louis Board of Aldermen, that we hereby recognize and commend the Sickle Cell Association for its outstanding service to the community, for its leadership in promoting awareness, education, and advocacy, and for its commitment to individuals and families living with sickle cell disease; and join with communities across the nation in observing September as Sickle Cell Awareness Month, and encourage all residents of the City of St. Louis to learn more about sickle cell disease and to support the work of the Sickle Cell Association.
