Overview
The Court and Compliance Department within the Collector of Revenue employs Compliance Officers to work as a liaison between taxpayers, the Collector of Revenue’s Office and the area judicial system. The Court and Compliance Department works directly with the 22nd Circuit Court Division 27.
Please reference your summons to determine your court date and time, and follow the instructions below.
Preparation
Many cases can be resolved before going to court by calling the Court and Compliance Department. Please contact the Collector of Revenue’s office to resolve any issues prior to your court date at (314) 622-4276.
Instructions
22nd Circuit Court Division 27 Instructions
If you choose to attend your court hearing, you will be required to appear in person on your court date and time. Most earnings tax cases are heard in Division 27 of the Clyde S. Cahill Courts building, which is located at the corner of Market St. and Tucker Blvd. on the 8th floor in the southeast corner.
What to Expect
You will have your case heard by a Judge and you will be given instructions on how to resolve your case. Most court dates can be avoided by contacting the Collector of Revenue's Office in advance to resolve your case or make payment arrangements.
