Old Mutual Bank Building - City Landmark #97
Located at 716 Locust, architect Tom Barnett designed the building in the Classical Revival style. It was constructed in 1919.
This building has been the American Trust Co., the Mutual Bank Building and the Security - Mutual Bank. One of the building's best features is its order of freestanding Corinthian columns. Flanking the columns on the other side of the building are similar engaged Corinthian columns or pilasters. A cut stone eagle tops the building. It currently houses a law firm.
