Comprehensive Plan
Consistent with state and local law, the City of St. Louis has adopted several citywide plan elements which together constitute the City's Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan guides the City in establishing policies in many areas, including: physical, social, and economic development; zoning and land use policy; environment and sustainability; and transportation, mobility, and infrastructure.
Developing the City's Comprehensive Plan involves extensive community engagement and analysis on particular topics to establish a consensus vision for the future of St. Louis. Elements of the Comprehensive Plan are adopted by the Planning Commission and can evolve over time as amendments or new plans are developed.
