Divisions

Traffic and Lighting Division
The City of St. Louis Traffic Division maintains traffic signals, traffic signage, traffic painting and striping, and street lighting.

Recycling Program

Street Division
The Street Division is responsible for street maintenance such as patching potholes, snow plowing, and street sweeping along with street lighting, street signs, and traffic signals

Refuse Division
The Refuse Division is responsible for collection and disposal of residential waste and also coordinates efforts to reduce the amount of waste going to landfills, such as recycling, composting, and waste reduction.

Towing Division
The City of St. Louis Towing Division's goal is to improve the safety of the City's streets by removing vehicles that are illegally parked, abandoned, or that are impeding the flow of traffic

Kingshighway Bridge Project
The 75-year-old Kingshighway bridge between Southwest/Vandeventer and Shaw Blvd closed on July 6, 2015 for reconstruction. Four center lanes of the new six-lane bridge reopened on May 13, 2017. The two remaining lanes will open later in the summer along with all remaining work (landscaping, hardscaping, sidewalks, etc.)
