Summary
The Federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention has awarded the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE) a grant under the Second Chance Act Juvenile Reentry Program. A portion of these funds are specifically designed to support employment, training and wraparound supportive services to eligible youth residing in the local jurisdiction.

The overall goals for SLATE’s youth services funded by the Second Chance Act Technology Program are to assist economically disadvantaged youth (ages 16-21) to attain the education and/or skills needed to create employment options and reintegrate into the St. Louis City community. Services must be designed and delivered so that they focus on career development, job placement and educational accomplishment for our youth in the community.
