Youthbuild Award
Summary
The bill authorizes the City to accept the U.S. Department of Labor YouthBuild Program in the confirmed amount of One Million Two Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Eight Dollars ($1,285,628.00), appropriates those funds for the YouthBuild Program administered by the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE), authorizes the Director of SLATE to make, negotiate, and execute contracts and other documents necessary to administer and expend the grant funds for purposes authorized by the U.S. Department of Labor, authorizes the Comptroller to issue warrants for payment, and contains an emergency clause. This bill funds the continuation of the existing YouthBuild Program for Program Year 2026–2029.
