About Committeemen and Committeewomen
Section 115.605 of the MO Revised Statute, how to file for City of St. Louis Offices.
There is no defined set of duties for a Committeeman or Committeewoman. However, Section 115.605 of the MO Revised Statutes states that each party committee is selected "for the purpose of representing and acting for the party in the interim between party conventions." The definition of a Committeeman or Committeewoman's role may be more clearly defined by contacting the particular party's central committee.
How to File for Office
If one wishes to declare his or her candidacy for a federal or state office, he or she needs to contact the Missouri Secretary of State's Office. With the exception of the offices of U.S. President and U.S. Vice President, all filings for federal and state offices are done through the Secretary of State's Office.
