The President's Office of the Board of Public Service (BPS) is responsible for all public works and improvements undertaken by the City. The Secretary's Office issues permits on behalf of the Board of Public Service

The President of the Board of Public Service (BPS) is responsible for all public works and improvements undertaken by the City. BPS maintains and improves the infrastructure for the benefit of the residential and business communities. Duties includes the design, construction, and supervision of public works projects. BPS has administrative supervision over Facilities Management, Equipment Services, and Soldiers' Memorial operations.
Board of Public Service Office of the Secretary
The Office of the Secretary issues permits of behalf of the Board of Public Service.
The Mission of the Construction Division is to assure that public works projects for the City of St. Louis are completed in a quality, cost effective, and timely manner.
The Board of Public Service Design Division is responsible for all project management in the design and implementation phase.
Equipment Services Division
The Board of Public Service Equipment Services Division operates garages and refueling sites.
Facilities Management Division
The Board of Public Service Facilities Management Division maintains and repairs buildings, parks, and facilities that are City owned.
Planning and Programming Division
The Board of Public Service Planning and Programming Division addresses transportation issues and develop capital improvement projects on property owned and maintained by the City.

The Online Plan Room is a service of BPS that provides detailed information on Requests For Proposals (RFPs) for professional services, and plans for City projects. Users can register and be notified of opportunities.
Soldiers Memorial Military Museum
St. Louis Soldiers' Memorial Military Museum - Located between Market and Pine and 13th and 14th Streets, was completed in 1938 in honor of World War I veterans. This museum preserves a wide range of military artifacts in the memory of fallen soldiers who served in the United States military.
